What we are seeing on the World Stage is the result of generation after generation of unresolved trauma. In many ways it is the struggle between two contrasting perspectives.
One is a fear-based perspective that maintains a perpetual state of survival mode (fight, flight or freeze) and a heightened state of guardedness that maintains the need for power and control over others; survival is contingent on remaining steps ahead of and conquering perceived enemies and threats.
The other is an open-hearted love-centered perspective, with roots in strong connections to a higher power and a striving for positive outcomes for all. It supports an approach to problem solving that, results in building excellent bonds and positive, clear boundaries. In this version there is a high level of empathy, kindness, generosity, mutual respect and a strong commitment to truth and integrity and the belief that this is the better choice.
We exist in a diverse Universe in which choices are contingent on the experience and perspective of many, (more than 8 billion people on this planet alone).
Along with the ambient energies that impart their influence on all and offer new possibilities, positive change can be affected through a higher personal and global awareness. Through higher awareness, better choices made align with higher vibrations.
This is the work being done now! It is a burden and a blessing imparted to all!
Last year was a pivotal year ruled by the Wood Dragon. Positive flow was interrupted by the escalation of emotional, physical, political, economic violence and the subjugation of “The Other”; personally, and globally. This has continued through the first half of this year.
The important difference, this Wood Snake Year, is the lifting of the veil of deceit. Heinous acts and intentions can no longer remain hidden. They all become transparent for all to see. There is no longer the excuse of “we didn’t know”.
The opportunity is offered to set things right in every aspect of manifested reality. The extra effort required is well worth it!
The human experience requires growth and change. Some are motivated by a conscious choosing between contrasting perspectives; others motivated as a response to their own suffering or by the suffering of others. Whichever the case this is a time for putting words into actions!
A synopsys of what to expect from the next three months!
As we transition from June the Water Horse month. A month that has been filled with emotional ups and downs and frantic almost desperate actions, to July, the Water Sheep month; we can expect calmer times and a shift in focus to gatherings with family and loved ones; especially near Water. You can also expect improvements in finances from unexpected sources.
August, the Wood Monkey Month is filled with unexpected surprises. Some may be unsettling or disorienting. Try to let go and enjoy the most colorful and creative aspects of your experience.
The transition to September, the Wood Rooster Month, instills that “back to school” feeling. A great time to return to more cerebral pursuits. Also, a time to organize and prepare for the months to come. Avoid giving in to excessive judgment of others and self.

- When Snake and Tiger Combine, it can indicate irritating situations. At the most extreme, It can indicate the clashing of unresolved conflicts. - When Snake comes together with Dragon it can indicate a type of loneliness that stems from the different approaches of Dragon and Snake. Dragon is high-profile and charismatic, and tries to dominate and control situations. This may not be well received and can result in recoil and a moving away by many, leaving Dragon behind. Snake is introspective, giving much thought before jumping into action and can find Dragon’s aggressive inclinations and self-dealings offensive. Snake is dominant this year and insists on dragon exhibiting self-restraint. As far as personal loneliness, it can be averted by thoughtful and connecting actions with meaningful people.
- The influence of Rat in the Hour Pillar, indicates covert, strategic support for the Dragon’s plans to dominate. The lifting of the veil of deceit by the Wood Snake, diminishes chances of the Dragon’s success.
A continuation of plans to dominate can result in a self-destructive cycle of devouring one’s own energy without lasting, productive results.
The Element Balance in the Chart
- Wood–61%–is the dominant Element in this chart and represents growth and new beginnings. Its expansive quality provides momentum for goal achievement. Wood requires a practical vision for the future and a desire to turn potential into reality. During Wood times resources can become tangible products and ideas can become existential improvements. Wood supports excellent verbal skills and the ability to interact positively with other people for the sake of project completion. The written word is especially powerful during Wood times.
- Fire Element–10% is low. Fire represents creative expression in this chart. It can be used to boost the strength of Earth element, where a lot of the action takes place. If you desire a strong public presence, use the energy of Wood to amplify efforts to put yourself out there.
- Earth–17%–is the predominant Element and represents the Wealth Element in this chart. Wealth indicates our rewards in life. You can use the transformative power of Earth to achieve goals that align with what you consider to be your rewards in life. Earth can be used for both physical and emotional healing. You are empowered to heal yourself or facilitate the healing of others. Slow and steady is more effective. Avoid making abrupt changes. Address anxiety that might arise, by immediately practicing more self-care and by getting the support of trusted people in your life. Choose smaller reality based, practical undertakings. Critical thinking has a greater chance for success. Whether they are emotional or physical, resolve problems in concrete ways.
- Metal Element–1%–very low–Metal is the power element in this chart. This is very little Metal. This indicates that power is not the best way to accomplish goals. Those desiring to grab power may find themselves ultimately frustrated and must find better means of achieving their ends. Metal is an internal process and relies on the intellect. Choose Heart centered methods instead. Avoid power for power’s sake and focus on actions that benefit the greater good and align with your higher principles.
- Water Element–11%–low–Water represents resource in this chart . Water can have a nourishing influence and is well suited as a Resource Element. Excellent heart-centered communications are encouraged. Because of Water’s ability to get into every nook and cranny and its ability to wear down the opposition, Water energy always succeeds, eventually, through perseverance and ability to adapt to surroundings. Much of Water Element’s activity and influence takes place below the surface. Look deeply to better understand what is taking place.
Regardless of existing conditions it is of utmost importance to understand that the Qi goes up and the Qi comes down. We can observe these movements and make the best use of them to manifest our heart’s desire.
When times are challenging know that there will be a swing to one side and then a swing to the other. Operating with an open Heart and with guidance from higher sources assures resilience and improves our chances of finding the gifts within the challenges; and ultimate success.
Building communities guided by higher principles can offer shelter from the storms.
