Dear MP,

Many, many people experience the "blues" during the holiday season. Aside from thenormal increase in stress and chaos,
holidays can often bring in financial pressure and conjure up negative memories. We would be happy to offer a few easy suggestions to support and uplift you.

The color and scent of orange is great for adding joy and releasing grief. Use essential oils, bring home real oranges, wear orange.

Play fun and uplifting non-holiday music.

For the Yang: Move, Dance, Exercise !

For Yin: Meditation and Reading are great. Also, a relaxing massage is a great way to release anxiety.

Avoid the news when possible. If you like to watch television, end your evening with an uplifting comedy. Laugh !

Get outside in nature. Not only is Mother Nature healing, but reminds us that we are connected and part of a larger whole. We are
not Alone !

Bring some full-spectrum lighting into yourhome. Holidays signal the upcoming winter and often the darker days bring on depression.

Check your home for clutter and depressing artwork. Surround yourself with clarity and love.

Volunteer some time with a large organization or group. Seeing and helping others brings a new perspective to us.
