As we celebrate the luck of the Irish,
we all hope to find our own four leaf clovers. They can be tough to find,
but lucky stones are abundant and easily found. All over the world there are
many lucky stones just waiting to bestow their good fortune on you. Here are
some stones that you might not have known possess this lucky quality.

Carnelian was revered in the Middle East for its powerful energy. It was believed
that if one wore the carnelian, all his desires would be gratified. So powerful
was the luck attributed to this stone, that no injury could befall anyone who
carried or wore it. Carnelian is a motivator. It will focus your energies, giving
you the opportunity to actualize your desires.

Most people would be surprised to know that opals were once given as lucky
stones. The visible rainbow of the opal was believed to be an indication of the
powerfully focused energy contained therein. Its "bad reputation" was
acquired unjustly and perhaps even accidentally through the misinterpretation
of Sir Walter Scott's novel, Anne of Geierstein. In his novel Lady Hermione, an
enchanted woman, wore an opal in her hair. When water touched the opal, the spell
was broken and Lady Hermione met her end. It is true that opals are sensitive
to water, but it was the enchantment that conjured Lady Hermione. Alas, the opal
has taken the blame for many years. But because of the ease with which this stone
can crack or split, it was feared that in that instance, your luck had run out.

CAT'S

TIGER'S EYE

HAWK'S EYE

Eye stones, such as cat's eye, tiger's
eye and hawk's eye were considered some of the most powerful stones in ancient
times. These were popular "good luck" stones. It was widely believed
that these stones enabled the person who wore or carried them to see everything.
This divine vision gave one the ability to think clearly in order to make
good decisions. They were also believed to attract riches. So strong was an eye
stone's attraction to wealth that even money lost would be returned. Any of these
stones would make a fine gambler's talisman. A wise gambler that keeps his
eye stones close will always know when to hold and when to fold and the jackpot
will never be out of his reach.

Amazonite gets its name from the Amazon women warriors. Not surprisingly,
it was believed that amazonite brought strength, courage and clairvoyance
to those who held or wore this pretty blue-green stone. Amazonite is worn
to increase ones telepathic abilities. This is perfect for anyone embarking
on a new venture or taking a chance. A "must have" for both the
gambler, as well as the young entrepreneur.

One of my favorite lucky stones is olivine. Olivine is found in abundance
in the sands of Hawaii. It is known to draw good fortune and success to those
who carry it. To ensure good luck and business success, place your business card
on a plate and cover it with olivine crystals. Your ship will soon be in! | |
