Now that the holidays are over and
we have successfully rung in the New Year, for most of us it's time to get back
to our every day lives and get serious about the year ahead. What does that mean
to you? For me, it means that as I face the New Year, I must also face the mounds
of bills I so recently accumulated. Luckily there are many crystals or stones
to assist. Here are just a few: |

| Aventurine
increases your perception and is therefore considered a lucky stone. Sometimes
referred to as the Stone of Opportunity, it helps to motivate you and enhance
your leadership qualities, making this a great stone to take with you on a job
interview. Its long association with luck and opportunity, together with its ability
to attract money has made this a popular gambler's talisman. Place one in your
purse or wallet.

| Citrine,
also called the Merchant's Stone because of its ability to attract and hold on
to wealth, can be placed on top of the cash register. Then, watch the money grow!
| |
| Malachite
is the stone for protection, transformation and business success. When worn, it
protects against illness and strengthens the immune system and is considered a
traveler's guardian. When held, it helps the holder to adjust to changes, ensuring
a smooth transformation to a new beginning. Malachite can be placed in a cash
register to attract new customers, and is sometimes called the Salesperson's Stone.

| Jade
is another stone believed by many ancient cultures to attract wealth, bring good
fortune, fertility and lend vitality to its owner. What makes Jade special is
that along with money, it brings the wisdom and creativity to use it wisely.
| One
of my favorite stones for the winter months is Chrysoprase. Mined in Australia,
this beautiful translucent stone is worn for luck and success when taking on new
ventures. But for those of you who suffer from Seasonal Affect Disorder (S.A.D.),
this wonderful green stone can banish the blues and is known to actually elevate
your mood. | |

| Here
comes the sticky part. What about those New Year's resolutions we've all made?
The most common resolutions I hear people make are to lose weight and quit smoking.
Noble resolutions, no doubt, but very hard to stick to. We don't fail at keeping
these resolutions because we have suddenly decided that we like being overweight
or that smoking is good for us. We fail because we have no will power!
That's
where Kunzite comes in. This is a wonderful aid in breaking addictions. Kunzite
strengthens your will power. If someone you know has an addiction, place this
under their pillow every night. During the day, it should be carried in the pocket
so as to be available whenever the individual needs to find that inner strength.
Hold it in your hand, terminated point toward the palm, and let the healing energy
flow. | |
|
Sugilite will also help you to resist the urge to give in to your cravings.
It has the added benefit of calming you and easing the stresses that go hand and
hand with braking a bad habit, whether it's food, cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol.

Now
that you have the tools to attract and hold on to all that wealth and resist those
wicked temptations, you have everything you need to ensure a happy, prosperous
and successful New Year!
