The Conscious Design Magazine highlights
homes that have been uplifted with fengshui, have positive features and/or are
sustainable and environmentally friendly. These conscious homes provide a supportive
environment for a perspective buyer and make the home a great choice. It
is not often that we get to present a home for sale by a renowned fengshui master
! Jami Lin is an internationally known lecturer and consultant on Feng Shui. She
is a professional Interior Designer, a graduate of the University of Florida School
of Architecture, author, and Feng Shui and Continuing Education Instructor. She
adapts practical and environmental ideas to Feng Shui, Mythology, Native American
and Astrological Arts, Universal Philosophy, and Sacred Site Knowledge to provide
all with the confidence and know-how to apply them. |

Jami
Lin and her husband had the choice to purchase any of the 39 townhouses pre-construction.
It was important to her to select one of the four end units to have maximum natural
light. The pick-of-the-litter was not only on the water, surrounded by native
sea grape trees (home to our resident iguana, grey herons, and egrets), it was
positioned as the "gate keeper" to the water. Thinking
this was home (for a long time--instead of being drawn to build in the boonies
on the Myakka River), she blew out walls, expanded chi flow and installed bamboo
floors. The interior finishes and dramatic, yet sophisticated colors were all
according to the flying stars. Where Fire and Earth were needed, Jami was on a
ladder for weeks Venetian plastering the walls. Furniture layout was according
to the flying stars as well as her and her husband's best directions. Beautiful
and with good Feng Shui! (Remember, Jami is an interior designer and with her
color expertise she just completed a new book, ColorAlchemy: Self-Mastery with
the endless supply of color! Go to www.ColorAlchemy.com
for a free preview and join us in September at our upcoming International Conscious
Design Conference, she is going
to teach ColorAlchemy)
When asked how will the
new owner's benefit...Jami Lin says, I have no control whether they will appreciate
the colors but I do know that the predecessor chi will be full of love!

As
far Jami and Joel's new home, it is positioned to face East-one (with a little
help from Stephen Skinner), it is round with huge picture windows for vistas of
the forest and water. Originally the lot didn't have an address but when the building
departent gave it "9" RiverFront Drive, she was thrilled! Jami is keeping
a photographic record of the consrtuction and interior design to share it with
us. The crystal-protection ceremony is complete and the construction drawings
will be approved soon. | |
