Space Clearing can be found
in every culture around the world. From the custom of banging pots on New Years
Eve to burning sage in a home, Space Clearing is an integral and traditional part
of every heritage. We interviewed two renowned professionals that specialize in
Space Clearing. Here are their insights: What
is Space Clearing? We asked expert, Teresa Polanco, who says, "Space Clearing
is a means of releasing stress in the environment, creating a more comfortable
environment for the people who may be living or working there. The ultimate goal
is to increase awareness for the occupants and create a window of opportunity
for them to understand their relationship to their space and in turn, their life." The
tools used for Space Clearing vary. Vivian Sartoretto has been Space Clearing
for many years. She uses Reiki, prayer, holy water, a pendulum and lots of intuition.
We asked Vivian when/why should people do a Space Clearing. "When you are
moving into a new home, it is a good idea to do a Space Clearing in order to remove
the previous owner's energy out. This way your new home is filled with your energies."
She feels it is just as important, however to do a Space Clearing when you decide
to sell your home. "Releasing or clearing your energy out of your home when
listing it for sale is a good way to emotionally let go." Prospective buyers
are then walking into a clear home with no old or negative energy to sway them. We
asked our experts for their most unique/interesting experience while space clearing.
Teresa told us, "It is very difficult to choose just one experience of Space
Clearing. There are the typical stories…houses selling after a clearing,
people regaining health, relationships strengthened, even clearing ants and deer
from a property, however I think being able to support a spirit in passing where
they have been stuck from trauma or attachment or whatever, has been the most
profound." For Vivian
it was just as difficult to name just one experience. "I guess the most unique/interesting
one was the 'spirit' who was creating a little havoc in a friend's home. When
no one paid attention to it, blood began flowing out from underneath the refrigerator.
After clearing the home, we honored the 'spirit' by planting a beautiful bush,
letting it know that although it had passed on, its life meant something. After
that, things became quiet again. It was a very moving clearing for me. It always
amazes me how much impact a person has, even after they have passed." Space
Clearing is not done by everyone. Perhaps it is a special calling. "I truly
did not 'choose' to do space clearing," Vivian says, "it started with
entity clearing and people communicating with me after they had passed. I feel
it is an honor to help these souls pass in a more peaceful way. Some are earth
bound because they do not realize that they have died. Helping them pass to the
light is something I feel happy about. There are times when there are challenges
for sure, but most souls I find are ready to leave. I must have made an agreement
to help these souls on some level, so, I accept the honor willingly." Teresa,
on the other hand has made a conscious choice to do space clearing. When asked
why, she said, "I choose to do space clearing to support the earth, my clients,
family, friends, whomever may need it. For me it is a means for continuing the
expansion and growth of my level of awareness. Space Clearing has afforded me
a vehicle for deeper self development, compassion, and unconditional love
