As
a holistic accountant I know that tax season can cause stress for people but it
doesn't have to. Feeling empowered just requires that we take action. It's when
we procrastinate and play the ostrich by not looking at our finances that we become
stressed. I highly recommend
that you get organized with your papers and use a software package to capture
your financial activity. If you are not computer savvy then use a manual system
or a diary to organize the recording of your income and expenses. Spending just
a few minutes a day doing these activities will alleviate the stress and create
a sense of empowerment. Quicken
and Quickbooks are excellent tools to record both personal and business financial
activity. Quickbooks also has an online version that is very handy when you need
a bookkeeper or an accountant to help you. When
choosing a bookkeeper and/or an accountant make sure that you feel comfortable
being completely open and honest with them. Share with them your goals and dreams
so that they can give you advice and guidance. Realize that there is nothing to
be scared, ashamed or guilty about and no one is judging you. Spending
time focusing on your finances will give it the energy to grow and we could all
use financial growth. As
a culture we are taught not to discuss money. I encourage you to find a safe environment
to break this pattern and talk about your finances with others. There are many
prosperity groups available that will open doors to prosperity and abundance in
all areas of your life. Know
that Abundance is your birthright and your natural state. Meira
Findel, accountant and founder of the CHAI Center for Holistic Awareness and Integration
in East Brunswick, is offering a free 30-minute evaluation of client bookkeeping
and accounting systems. Findel approaches managing money in small businesses,
startups and personal finance with a holistic view of money and strives to improve
her clients lives and businesses by looking at a complete financial picture.Financial
independence is about more than the proper handling of financial matters and
30 minute investment can change a business, says Findel, a former CFO of a large mortgage
business. We are talking about deep seated beliefs that people hold about wealth
creation in their business and personal lives. Assisting people in attaining
their goals comes down to how they think, feel and react to the energy and issues around
money, says Findel. Services include bookkeeping, accounting and tax reporting
functions as well as a wide array of consulting services such as income diversification,
business and personal financial coaching, office organization, office staffing,
marketing.
